THE INAUGURAL NECKER MAURITIUS OPEN 2022 HAILED AS A SUCCESS

🇬🇧 After several exhibition tournaments, and a two-year wait due to the pandemic, Mauritius Island hosted the PSA World Tour for the first time last week. The full crowd was treated with a great show from world class players – including winner Diego Elias – and the event as a whole was hailed as a success by everyone involved.

NECKER MAURITIUS OPEN 2022 – UNE PREMIÈRE ÉDITION RÉUSSIE

🇫🇷 Après plusieurs éditions exhibition, et deux ans d’attente en raison de la crise sanitaire, l’Île Maurice a accueilli pour la première fois une étape du circuit international de squash international la semaine dernière. Le nombreux public a pu admirer des joueurs du top 5 mondial – notamment le grand vainqueur, Diego Elias – et la réussite de cette première a été saluée par l’ensemble des protagonistes.

NECKER MAURITIUS OPEN 2022 – RECAP DAY 5: FINAL

🇬🇧 @diegoelias96 won the inaugural Necker Mauritius Open (Men's Gold, $110,000) on Saturday night at the RMClub Mauritius, capping an incredible week with a straight game victory over @moelshorbagy in the final. In the $30,000 women's tournament, number 1 seed @tinnegilis came back twice but it wasn't enough to stop young Egyptian @faridaamohamedd to grab her biggest title.

🇫🇷 Diego Elias a remporté la première édition du Necker Mauritius Open (Gold masculin, 110 000 $) samedi soir au RMClub Mauritius, parachevant une semaine de rêve par une victoire en 3 jeux face à Mohamed ElShorbagy en finale. Dans le tournoi féminin doté de 30 000 $, la tête de série n°1 Tinne Gilis est revenue deux fois au score, mais ça n'a pas suffi pour empêcher la jeune Égyptienne Farida Mohamed de remporter le plus grand titre de sa jeune carrière.
